The seventh Cystic Fibrosis March Madness NCAA Calcutta will take place Tuesday, March 16 at the Butte Country club.
The Calcutta has approval from the Butte-Silver Bow Health Department for 70 people to attend. That will leave room for two representatives from each team and 10 staff to run the auction.
Teams and representatives must be registered ahead of time.
Every team in the 2021 NCAA men’s basketball tournament will be auctioned off. Of the total bids paid out, 90 percent will go to participating bidders. The other 10 percent will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. In 2019, the first-place team paid out $40,070.
For more information or to make a reservation, call or text Bob Lazzari at 560-4646, Ned Ellingwood at 491-0641 or Rick Anderson at 490-7028. You can also visit buttecfcalcutta.org.
Ellingwood and Anderson will discuss the Calcutta on KBOW Overtime from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday on KBOW, 550 AM, 101.5 FM, kbow550.net or on the KBOW app.
