COVID-19 cases put Oredigger men on hold

Positive cases of COVID-19 have shut down the Montana Tech men’s basketball team for two weeks, the school announced this morning.

All games through Dec. 13 have been postponed, the school said. That includes Monday’s non-conference game at Eastern Washington and four Frontier Conference games. Tech was scheduled to play Carroll College Dec. 5 and 6 at home. The Orediggers were set to play Montana Western Dec. 12-13 in Dillon.

The next games on Tech’s schedule are Jan. 4 and 5 at home against the University of providence.

The school said details regarding the games being rescheduled will be announced once those decisions are made.

The Oredigger women’s basketball team paused all activity last week. That team is expecting to return to action Dec. 12 at Montana Western.
