Copperheads sweep Maroons

ANACONDA — Brooke Chapman and Taylor Flynn combined for 29 kills Thursday as  Anaconda stayed unbeaten in volleyball with a 27-25, 25-19, 25-10 win over Butte Central at Memorial Gym.

Kaylea Jorgensen handed out 26 assists in the victory, while Karli King hit the floor for 16 digs. Anaconda improved to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in Southwestern A play.

Mariah Cooney (1-1) smacked 12 kills for Butte Central.

Also, Danee Leary tallied eight kills, Danika Neumann (11) and Cassidy McGree (10) led the team in digs, while Taylor Marthaller and Shannon McLaughlin combined for 21 assists.

BC plays at Hamilton on Saturday.
