Copper City Kings storm back to rout Ice Dogs

BOZEMAN — The Copper City Kings high school hockey team from Butte spotted the Bozeman Ice Dogs a 1-0 lead Wednesday night.

After that, it was all Butte, as the Kings skated to a 7-1 victory. (Stats)

Six Butte players scored goals, with Noah McGee leading the way with two. Carson Barry, Aidan Francisco, Carsten Quam, Robin Bagley and Andrew Kober also scored goals in the win.

Park assisted on two goals. Bagley, McGee, Quam, Logan Miller and Marcus Hunt also got in on assists. Bryce Stewart turned away 23 shots to get the win between the pipes.

Zach Stoddart scored on a Finn Snyder assist for Bozeman’s lone goal.

The Kings will play two games at home against Helena this weekend. The Kings will take on Helena at 7 p.m. Friday and at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Friday will be Senior Night as the team honors seniors Bagley, McGee, Brandon Lyons, Kody Chamberlin and Nolan Samples.
