Copper City Kings capture Pee Wee B state title

GLASGOW — Butte’s Copper City Kings 12U hockey team is a state champion.

The Kings knocked off Great Falls 9-4 Sunday in the Pee Wee B state championship game.

Rigley Vincent scored four goals and earned MVP honors to lead the Kings in the Victory. Bryden Wagner scored three goals, while Jaxon Kruzich and Chase Fulton each added one. Goalie Billy Lavelle picked up the win between the pipes.

The Kings also beat Bozeman 9-2, tied Glasgow at 4 and blanked Helena 4-0 on their way to the championship.

The championship team includes Mason Johnson, Ryan Draper, Jacob Ryan, Reena Davisson, Teagan Yelenich, Chloe Jewell, Koda Hislop, Richard Dale, Benjamin Rapkoch, Noah Ryan, Layla Harned, Trey Berger, Samantha Bogert and Kanyon Flynn.

Bill Lavelle and Jake Yelenich coach the state champions.
