Cook sets record in college debut

ITASCA, Minn. — Dallas Cook began his college career the same way he ended his prep career, as a record setter.

The former Butte High quarterback passed for five touchdowns and ran for one more as the North Dakota State College of Science Wildcats beat Itasca Community College 61-12.

Cook only played the first half of the rout but still passed for 281 yards. His touchdown run went for 15 yards, and the six total TDs in a game is a school record.

The defense forced five turnovers while scoring a touchdown and a safety in the victory.

Cook and the Wildcats will open their home schedule Thursday against Mayville State JV.

Thanks for getting rid of the first comment–no reason for that. We all feel Dallas should be at a better place. 2 years from now he will be.The Bozeman kids don’t deserve that kind of disrespect. Once again, Good Job butte sports–you have class
