HARRISON — Conor McGee ran to a third-place finish, and Abby McGee placed fifth overall at the Harrison Invitational cross country meet Saturday.
Conor McGee, a sophomore placed third with a time of 17 minutes, 40 seconds in the 3-mile race. BC classmate Shannon Tempel placed 12th at 19:23.
Also for the BC boys, Ian Campbell placed 40th in 22:00, and sophomore Conor Larson placed 41st in 22:17.
The Maroons didn’t have a team score because Patrick O’Herron was held out with a sore hip.
On the girls’ side, Abby McGee, a freshman took the fifth-place spot with a time of 23:10.
Senior Rachel Banks placed 15th in 25:32, while BC freshman Rachael McGree took 25th in 27:52.
“I was pleased overall with their times,” Butte Central coach Bob Johnson said. “They are improving each race.”
Johnson also praised his middle school runners. He said Theron Nelson took second place for the boys, while Abbi Stillwagon ran to fifth place for the girls.
