GREAT FALLS — Mollee Conlan had another big day on the track Thursday.
Conlan ran to victories in the 100 meters 200 meters to lead Butte High at the Great Falls High Freshman Invitational at Memorial Stadium. (Complete results)
Conlan posted personal-best times in each race, running the 100 in 13.01 seconds and the 200 in 28.38.
Butte’s Kieyrah Killoy also picked up a win on the day. She leapt 28 feet, 11 ½ inches to win the triple jump.
Butte High’s girls’ and boys both placed seventh in the meet that saw 14 teams score points on the boys’ side and 12 on the girls’ side.
Helena High won the girls’ race with 95 points. Butte High scored 35.
Killoy also ran to eighth place in the 100. Butte High’s Ashley Olson placed fourth in the shot put.
Helena Capital topped the boy’s team standings with 121 points. Butte High scored 31.
Gavin Vetter again led the Bulldogs with two top-three finishes. He took second in the pole vault by clearing 11 feet. He also took third in the 100 with a person-best time of 12.01 seconds.
John Connole took second in the 300-meter hurdles for the Bulldogs.
Others who posted top-10 finishes for Butte High were Cole Steward (seventh, 400), Riley Downey (eighth, shot put), Brady Dinius (eighth, high jump), Kenley Leary (ninth, 400), Morgan McClernan (ninth, 300 hurdles), Joseph Lyons (ninth, 100), Casey Kautzman (10th, 400), Brady Maloughney (10th, 800) and Thad Holdsworth (10th, high jump).
Butte High relay teams placed fourth and seventh in the 400 relay. Butte took fourth in the 1,600 relay.
