Colt Anderson registers four tackles in preseason opener

PHILADELPHIA — Butte native Colt Anderson registered four tackles for the Indianapolis Colts Sunday as the team opened the preseason with 36-10 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.

All of the former Eagle’s tackles came as he was playing safety for the Colts. He got an assisted tackle on a pass to Miles Austin in the second quarter. Anderson made one solo tackle on Eric Tomlinson and two solo tackles on Nelson Agholor. All three solo tackles came in the second quarter.

Anderson, who is known as a special teams ace in the NFL, is in his second season for the Colts, who advance to the AFC championship game last season.

He spent the previous four season with the Eagles.

Indianapolis’ next preseason game is Saturday at home against the Chicago Bears. The Colts open the regular season Sept. 13 at Buffalo.
