Cobras open key series with 5-4 victory

The Butte Cobras opened their pivotal three-game home stand against the Seattle Totems with a 5-4 victory Friday night at the Butte Community Ice Center.

The win moves the Cobras to 7-28 on the season. Seattle fell to 6-22 as the teams battle for the final playoff spot in the WSHL Northwestern Division.

Butte plays host to Seattle again Saturday. The puck drops at 7 p.m.

The teams close out the three-game set at 2 p.m. Sunday. Admittance is free for all Butte home Sunday games this season.

After this weekend, the Cobras won’t play at home again until March.
