Cobras ice Icedogs in OT for first win of season

HELENA — An empty arena was no problem for the Butte Cobras Wednesday afternoon.

Nick Bradshaw scored 3 minutes, 21 seconds into overtime to give the Cobras a 6-5 NA3HL Frontier Division victory over the Bozeman Ice Dogs at the Helena Arena. (Stats)

The game was moved to Helene because of COVID-19 restrictions. The win was the first in 13 games for the Cobras.

Nikita Pinimyasov and Cory Kane each scored two goals in the win. also scored two goals for the Cobras. Joey Wilson turned away 46 shots for the win between the pipes.

Eric Thompson scored twice to lead the Icedogs (7-8). Kadyn Fennell, Tae Evans and Kamden Sengheiser each added a goal.

The Cobras are scheduled to play at Great Falls and Bozeman this Friday and Saturday.
