The novel coronavirus has now officially claimed all of Montana’s high school all-star games in 2020.
The Class B Big Sky All-Star Football Game, which is held annually in Billings, was the latest to go. John Letasky of The Billings Gazette reports the game was called off Friday night. An official announcement came today.
Other games canceled by the coronavirus are the Montana East-West Shrine Game, the Bob Cleverley 8-Man All-Star Game, the 6-Man All-Star Game and the Badlands Bowl.
This year would have marked the 27th and last Badlands Bowl. It would have also marked the 74th Shrine Game, which has run consecutively since its inception in 1947.
The Shodair Soccer Classic and the Midland Roundtable Montana-Wyoming All-Star basketball series have also been wiped off the books because of the pandemic.
