GREGSON — A pair of Butte golfers posted wins Monday at the Fairmont Invitational at Fairmont Hot Springs.

Chase Choquette and Teagan Yelenich topped the field in their respective divisions at a windy fifth stop on the Southwest Montana Junior Golf Tour.

Choquette shot an 86 to win the Patrick Cantlay Division for boys 14-15. He beat fellow Butte golfer Brenner Booth by one shot. Buttes Zachary Sawyer took third at 89, and Butte’s Will McGree placed fourth at 90.

Yelenich shot a 49 over nine holes to win the Jordan Spieth Division for boys 13 and under. Cade Kelly of Butte placed second at 50. Butte’s Jack Muhlstein took third at 51.

Brandon Wolfe of Anaconda won the Scotty Scheffler Division for boys 16-17. Butte’s Kade Corcoran took second at 88, finishing one shot better than Richie Carson of Hamilton.

Addison Taylor of Scottsdale Arizona shot a 90 to run away with the Nelly Korda Division for girls 16-17. Butte’s Taylor Sullivan was net at 110, followed by Butte’s Kendyllen Lean at 123.

Clancy Golfer Maryah Lindsay shot a 91 to win the Lexi Thompson Division for girls 14-15. Eryn Lindsay of Clancy was second at 119, one shot better than Butte’s Chelsie Lyons.

Evyn Smith of Melrose was the lone player in the Danielle Kang Division for girls 13 and under. She shot a 68 over nine holes.

The Tour will stop next Monday in Dillon for the Beaverhead Invitational. The Butte Par 3 Challenge is set for Aug. 1, and the 2022 season will wrap up Aug. 8 at the Old Works Championship.
