BILLINGS — Clint Choquette continued his impressive run for the MSU-Billings cross country team Saturday.
Fellow Butte runner Josh Panasuk wasn’t too bad, either.
Choquette placed fourth overall and set a Yellowjackets team record at the 22nd annual Yellowjacket Invitational at Riverfront Park. Choquette finished the 8-kilometer course in 25 minute, 11 seconds to lead MSU-B to the team title with 40 points.
Eight teams competed in the race, with Black Hills State finishing second with 41 points.
Unattached runners Cesar Mireles (24:36) and Noah Kiprono (24:49) were the top two runners. Black Hills State runner Mitch Kraft placed third and first as far as points go in 25:01.
Panasuk, a 2012 Butte High graduate, placed 27th in 26:28. That time was a team record for a freshman on the Yellowjackets’ home course.
Choquette is a 2005 Butte High graduate. He left his job to go back to school this fall.
