Seven Maroons take home postseason honors
Seven Butte Central players received mention as the Class A All-State and all-conference selections were released to the media Monday evening.
Eyston Lakkala and Kyle Holter led the way for the Maroons, taking home All-State honors. Eric Hart, Konnor Pochervina, Cayden Kibler, Joe Sehulster and Luke Garrison joined Lakkala and Holter by receiving all-conference recognition.
Lakkala, a senior who will officially sign with Montana Tech’s football program on Friday, made the team as a strong safety. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Lakkala took home first-team all-conference honors at the position.
Lakkala also played running back, where he split time with Pochervina.

Holter, a 6-foot, 170-pound junior, received honors on both sides of the ball. He earned a second-team all-conference honor at wide receiver. He was named first-team all-conference and All-State as a cornerback.
Hart, a 5-11, 230-pound senior, received a second-team all-conference selection on both sides of the ball. He played center and defensive line for the Maroons.
Pochervina, a junior, also received honors on offense and defense. The 5-11, 190-pound Pochervina took home a second-team not at inside linebacker and an honorable mention at running back.
Sehulster, a 6-1, 210-pound senior, was named second-team all-conference at defensive end.
Kibler, a 6-1, 285-pound junior defensive lineman, and Garrison, a 6-1, 185-pound junior strong safety, received honorable mentions.
The honors come after the Maroons closed the season at 3-5 and just missed out on a playoff berth. Central closed the season with a strong performance in a 41-14 home win over Stevensville.
