Carter ready to lead Lady Maroons

By John Robbins

First year Varsity Coach Quinn Carter is excited to lead her new team at the helm. When asked how she felt being a first-time varsity coach she responded with, “I am really excited to start this year, there are a lot of firsts, a lot of nerves but I’m ready it’s a new year and it’s a new team!’

Carter praised returning senior Macy Anderson and her great defensive abilities and junior Mollie Drew to fill a large role especially on the defensive end. And when you can blend that with the Mining Cities all time point leader Brooke Badovinac that’s certainly going to keep the Lady Maroons a topic of Discussion this year.

Carter said, “the shot clock will be an adjustment, I have played with one in college, but coaching will be a little different, but I think it will be a good thing for the game.” Carter also noted that “she is truly excited to see Brooke lead as a senior, I think she can take us great places.”

The Lady Maroons will handle the rock starting @7:30 pm at the Tip-Off Tournament in Frenchtown taking on Lewistown.
