Carroll’s Patterson earns league honor

WHITEFISH — Megan Patterson of Carroll College was named the Frontier Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Patterson is a 5-foot-11 senior guard from Columbus, Mont. The Saints went 1-1 on a weekend Idaho road trip. Carroll beat College of Idaho 69-52 lost to NCAA Division II Northwest Nazarene 54-71, and lost an exhibition game to NCAA Boise State 64-76.

For the weekend, she averaged 20.3 points. She was 21 of 36 from the field (58 percent), 16 of 28 in 3-point field goals (57 percent) and 3 of 4 from the free throw line (75 percent).

Clark State, Marisa Morais of Rocky Mountain College, Nikki Tresch of MSUNorthern, Alicia Wilson of Montana Western and Nicole Yazzie of Westminster College.
