Butte jumper Cameron Tobiness will be continuing his education in his hometown, he will also be joining a great track and field program at Montana Tech.

Cameron who was joined by his mom Shauna Bennett and Dad Joe Tobiness, signed his NAIA national letter of intent at Montana tech this week and will join the Diggers this fall. Cam is coming off a great senior season and looks forward to the state meet.

Earlier this year Cameron won the pole vault and the triple jump at the Tomich meet, he is also terrific academically.

Coach Arie spoke very highly of Cameron, “he is a wonderful young man. He is great in the classroom and a fierce competitor. Excited to watch him compete at Tech.”

Cameron said “It feels great to stay at home here in Butte, the Engineering program at Tech is what really influenced my decision to join Tech.”

Cameron is going to be a jumper at tech, doing the high, long, and triple jumps. He joins a great program and college that is sure making some noise both academically and in sports.
