HAMILTON — The Western A Divisional All-Tournament teams were released tonight, and Butte Central senior Cade Holter was named the Most Valuable Player of the boys’ tournament.
The honor comes after Holter averaged 12 points and 6.7 rebounds per game to lead Butte Central to three wins and the Western A Divisional championship.
Holter was also a defensive force for the Maroons, who head to next week’s Class A State tournament in Great Falls.
Butte Central senior Dylan Sestrich joins Holter on the first team along with Hamilton’s Hunter Omlid and Cameron Rothie and Browning’s Riley Spoonhunter. Central junior Braden Harrington made the second team, while BC classmate Matt Simkins received an honorable mention.
Columbia Falls senior Ryley Kehr took home the girls’ MVP honor after leading the Wildcats to the divisional title. She is joined on the first team by teammate Josie Windauer, Browning’s Dulci Skunkcap and Taylor Jordan and Libby’s Jayden Winslow.
Central senior Tricia Joyce and freshman Sofee Thatcher were named to the second team.
