Butte’s McEwen wins Montana Open title

BILLINGS — Butte wrestler Maverick McEwen claimed first place in his class over the weekend at the Montana Open at the Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark.

McEwen won the 8-and-under 62-pound division to bring home the title. He was one of 12 competitors from the Butte Wrestling Club to place in the top six. Keagan Lince, Marquis Abad and Keagan Gransbery each placed second in their class.

In all, more than 1,600 wrestlers competed in the two—day tournament. Butte Wrestling Club place winners follow.
