Butte High’s Aidan Lee and D.J. Jackson have been added to the West roster for the Montana East-West Shrine Game.
West Team Coordinator Jeff Hartwick announced the additions today.
Lee will join the roster alternate as a defensive end. The 6-foot, 215-pounder excelled at the position for the past three years, when he became one of Butte High’s all-time sack leaders.
The 6-4, 290-pound Jackson will help out on the offensive line. He started at center for the Bulldogs the past two seasons. He will take his size, talent and versatility to Montana Western’s football team.
The two Bulldogs will join Jake Olson and Ty Raiha and Butte Central’s Bryan “Hugo” Holland as players representing the Mining City in the Shrine Game, which will be played June 19 in Billings.
The initial rosters were released on Christmas Day.
Butte High’s Christian Hansen and Christian Vetter are still on the alternate list, as is BC’s Egan Lester.
Hartwick also announced the additions of several other players and assistant coaches. That includes Butte High assistant coach Dan Larsen. Missoula Sentinel’s Dane Oliver is the West head coach. Assistants include Pete Joseph of Sentinel, Chris Grabowska of Manhattan, Jim Benn of Bigfork and Kaden Glinsmann of Polson.
Players added to the West roster include cornerback T.J. Rausch of Sentinel, cornerback Daxon Graham of Dillon, outside linebacker Ryker McElmurry of Libby, receiver Jonny Reiser of Dillon and outside linebacker Preston Metesh of Flint Creek.
Colter Bales of Laurel and Jackson Willems of Billings Skyview have been added to the East roster.
Head coach John Fitzgerald of Red Lodge will be assisted by Adam White of Red Lodge, Ryan Gatch of Havre, Nick Oxarat of Malta, Patrick Barnett of Glasgow and Jory Thompson of Fort Benton.
