Monday’s 119th running of the Boston Marathon will again have some local flavor. Butte runners Bryan Bradshaw and Michele Bazzanella are registered to compete in the 26.2-mile race from Hopkington to Copley Square.
Bradshaw, 47, who has ran the marathon several times, finished last year’s race in 3 hours, 4 minutes, 15 seconds. He also ran the 2013 race, finishing well ahead of the bombs near the finish line.
Bazzanella, 41, is a top local runner. Last May she won her age group in the 30-kilometer Don’t Fence Me In Trail Run in Helena. This will be her first Boston Marathon.
