LOS ANGELES — A 17-year-old Butte boy qualified for the American Ninja Warrior Season 14 National Finals.
Andrews qualified during his semifinal run, which aired on NBC Monday night. Andrews and Josiah Singleton qualified for the Power Town for a Safety Pass going into the National Finals. Singleton won, bot both athletes will move on.
Andrews, a soon-to-be Butte High senior has been training for American Ninja Warrior since he turned his house into a makeshift course at the age of 10. His parents, Dr. Curtis and Laurie Andrews, later helped him build his own gym in a garage.
The semifinals will run two more weeks, with episodes Aug. 1 and Aug. 8. The National Finals will run at least four weeks, starting Aug. 15.
