Ryan Wahl’s strong 2019 baseball season did not go unnoticed when postseason honors were unveiled this week.

Wahl, took home Southern District Class A All-Conference and All-State honors. He made the teams as a shortstop and as a pitcher as the Miners came within one game of advancing to the Class A State tournament.

The soon-to-be senior at Butte Central is also a multi-sport athlete for the Maroons. In May he threw the discus in the Class A State meet in Laurel.

Wahl is the lone Butte player to receive postseason honors. The all-conference team also includes Dillon’s Ben Jones, Pete Gibson, Hunter Wentworth, Michael Hupp and Jace Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald also earned All-State.

Other Southern A players to receive All-State recognition were Easton Page of Belgrade and Hunter Johnson and Michael Nehring of Gallatin Valley.
