The Butte Miners continue to play great baseball, although there is no longer a year long streak of wins the Mine Boys seem to bounce back anytime they take an L. We just moved locations and are going to post some updates from the last week or so of the Butte Miners games.
Last week the Miners swept the Helena Reps, Anthony Knott notched 3 RBI’s while going 3-4 from the plate, Game two saw Kevin Donaldson and Cayde Stajcar each rack up 3 hits apiece in the 9-8 Victory. The Miners also won 8-2 the second game backed again but their 1,2,3 hitters Kevin Donaldson and Tony Knott were raking at the plate.
Derek Dunmire pitched 6 great innings against the Lethbridge Elks, Kaden McGillen came in a closed the door for the Miners. Sean Ossello was 2-2 with 2 runs scored, Rye Doherty went 3-3 with 2 runs scored. Cayde Stajcar had 2 RBI’s in the 7-5 victory.
The Miners then pummeled the Calgary Cardinals and made a short day work out of them in just 4 innings as the Mine Boys blazed 12-0 over Calgary. Sean Ossello was again electric at the plate going 2-3 and scoring twice, Tony Knott was 3-3 with 3 runs scored, Quinn Cox and Tocher Lee each were 2-3 at the plate in the win.
The Helena Senators had plans of their own in a Friday tilt and beat the Miners 9-1, the one run came off an Ethan Cunningham RBI while Kevin Donaldson stayed red hot at the plate.
Kade McGillan then tossed 4 solid innings for the Miners as they squared off against the Calgary Bison, again seeing multi hit games against the Bison from Kevin Donaldson and Rye Doherty, Tony Knott also had 2 RBI’s and picked up the 10-6 win.
The Mine Boys again beat the Lethbridge Elks at home this past Sunday 13-5, and Kevin Donaldson again stayed hot at the plate going 2-2 and scoring 3 more runs to stay an absolute tear that past 6 games!
