Butte High’s Hannah Amtmann named Super-State

Butte High libero Hannah Amtmann received a prestigious post-season honor when she was named to the Great Falls Tribune Super-State volleyball team.

The accolade comes after Amtmann was named second-team All-State as a libero. For some reason, the first-team included no liberos.

Following is an excerpt about Amtmann from the Dec. 19 article explaining the Super-State selections. Click here to read the full story.

Hannah Amtmann (Utility), Butte: A second team All-stater (there were no liberos selected on the first team), Amtmann was widely recognized as one of the top back line players in Class AA. Said Bozeman head coach Erika Gustavsen: “Hannah, for the last couple of years, has been one of the best liberos we’ve faced. She really stood out to me on defense and was the best player on her team. She continually dug balls from great hitters and always worked hard to keep the ball alive.”
