Butte High’s cross country runners will lace ’em up for real for the first time Friday.
The Bulldogs will head east for the Billings Invitational, which begins at 4 p.m.
Butte High is sending a strong girls team along with a boys squad full of potential.
Leading the way for the Butte High girls’ team will be Kendall Alley, who won the Purple and White race Aug. 17. Fellow juniors Andie Hogan, Haley Hodge, Bailee Hanson, Erica McLeod and Mariah Richardson and senior Jordan Duffy will also run for the Bulldogs in the opener.
Freshman Nick Raiser leads the Bulldog boys into action after an impressive Purple and White run. Seniors Kody Lane and Hunter Biegler will also run, along with juniors Forrest Kultgen and Bryan Armstrong and sophomores Gavin Sisson and Kolby Tretheway.
Butte High will run at the Flathead Invitational on Sept. 8. The Bulldogs home meet is Sept. 22.
