Butte High experimented with different lineups and arranged for some wrestlers to compete in one or two more varsity bouts Tuesday night as the Bulldogs swept a pair of dual meets from Missoula Hellgate and Missoula Big Sky in the old Butte High Gym.

Butte High beat Hellgate 66-9 and thumped Big Sky 57-16 in the Western AA Conference dual meets. Seeding considerations were at stake in many weight classes as the Bulldogs look toward the postseason tournaments looming less than a month away.

The meet with Big Sky was a makeup of one postpones just before the holiday break because of a winter storm causing extremely cold temperatures and icy roads.

Five girls’ bouts were also held during the meets.

Butte High will be home on Thursday at 6 p.m. against Helena Capital in a dual meet.
