DILLON — Butte High used five pins and four forfeits to top Dillon in a non-conference match Tuesday night at the B.W. Lodge Gymnasium.
Bryton Hardesty had the fastest pin of the night for the Bulldogs, who only used a handful of their top grapplers. Hardesty needed just 36 seconds to pin his Dillon counterpart at 138 pounds.
Derek Averyt (at 138 pounds), Trey Hansen (145), Mason Christian (205) and Kade Schleeman (285) also won by way of the pin for the Bulldogs. Tyrese LeProwse (103), Grady Winston (113), Aiden Cuchine (170) and Quinton Dennison (182) all won by forfeit.
Hunter Barnes (120) and Noah Halfhacker (126) won by technical fall for the Beavers. Tate Hanson (152) won by pin for Dillon, and Kaden Pittman (160) picked up a major decision.
Next up for the Bulldogs is the Jug Beck Rocky Mountain Classic Friday and Saturday in Missoula.
