BOZEMAN — Allie Becker banged out three hits and Butte High pitching struck out nine batters in a 13-1 rout of the Bozeman Gallatin squad in a high school junior varsity girls’ softball game played Wednesday.
Gracie Jonart and Mattie Stepan clubbed two hits each in the win. Ally Godbout struck out six batters and Kendallyn Schad fanned three in furling a one-hitter for the young Butte High team.
Jonart, Reese Johnson and Sophie Radcliffe notched two runs batted in apiece.
“This was a great way to end the JV season,” Butte High coach Kelly Ferriter said. “Everyone contributed in some form or fashion, and to have 13 hits, play really good defense and allow one hit was outstanding.
“We won four of our last five games against JV opponents, which shows we got better as the season went on, which is all you can ask for.”
