Butte High’s junior varsity football team closed the season with a 42-25 win over Missoula Big Sky Friday at Naranche Stadium.
The win capped a 6-3 season for the Bulldogs and their highly-explosive offensive unit.
The Bulldogs chalked up wins over Missoula Hellgate, Bozeman, Missoula Sentinel, Billings West and Great Falls High. The three Butte High losses came to Helena Capital, Billings Senior and Billings Skyview.
Butte High’s season-opening game against Kalispell Flathead was called off because of weather.
A.J. Booth passed for 23 touchdowns to lead the Bulldog offense that averaged 44.5 points per game. Quinn Sullivan scored 23 touchdowns, while Kobe and Kam Moreno combined for 27 scores.
Tucker Winston found the end zone seven times behind an offensive line led by Konor McClafferty, Lucas Kingston, Ryan McCarthy, Ethan Hafer and Myles McClerran.
Austin Endy, Austin Endy, Aidan Francisco and Hafer lead the defensive unit.
Other key contributors were Mayce Grant, Cory West, Gabe LeProwse, Peyton Hettick, Josh Nelson, Jerek Rosenleaf, Jeriah Benevides, Dylan Averyt, Scout Allen, Zechariah Stinson, Bryce Bennett, Ben Biastoch, Ethan Cramer, Gabe Lacey, Blake Worth, Xavier Freeman, James Hollingsworth, Tristan Ledgerwood, Jeremy Juarez, Austin Doyle, Wyatt Samples, Reilly Obenhoff and David Grossman.
Casey Denney, Dan Larson, Chad Jonart, Matt Schonsberg and Zach Bunney coached the young Bulldogs.
