Butte High’s junior varsity softball team closed the season with an explanation point Monday.

The Bulldogs pounded nine hits and rolled to a 16-1 win over Kalispell Flathead at Stodden Park. The game, which was a make up from Friday’s snow out, was called after three innings by the 15-run rule. (Boxscore)

Sophie Radcliffe and Brityn Stewart smashed home runs to lead the Bulldogs, who close the season at 16-6. Madisyn Swanson hit two doubles and drove in three runs. Hailey Skeel hit a double and a single, and Ashby Lee doubled for Butte High.

Radcliffe, who scored three runs, also singled, as did Natalie Lynch. Taylor Drakos worked two walks.

Lee pitched all three innings, striking out six in the victory.
