Butte High boys bow out of state tournament

KALISPELL — The Butte High boys’ soccer season came to an end Friday with a 5-1 loss to Billings Senior at the Class AA State tournament.

The Broncs head to Saturday’s fifth-place match. Butte High heads home.

Senior Zach Archibald scored Butte High’s lone goal in the loss. Josh Greer, Charlie Klepps, Mauro Bustillo, Jason Miller and Mason Chorike scored for the Broncs.

The Bulldogs close one the most successful seasons in school history with an 8-7-2 record. Butte High qualified for state for the first time since 2013.

The loss closes the book on the prep soccer career for Archibald and fellow seniors Ryson Lovshin, Oscar Kronenberger, Eric Todd, Kyle Rauch, Brock Powell and Travis Williams.
