Butte Central JV girls are 6-2

Butte Central’s junior varsity girls’ basketball team is 6-2 on the season after Saturday’s 39-14 win at Corvallis.

BC’s losses came to Butte High and Hamilton. Following is a rundown of seven of those eight games. Point totals from BC’s loss to Hamilton were not available.

Butte High 44, Butte Central 15
Shelby Paffhausen scored six points to pace the Maroons in the loss. Teresa Piazzola scored four, while Chandra McCurdy and Cassidy Mandic netted two.

Butte Central 39, Corvallis 14
Sierra Pica’s 17 points led the way as the Maroons cruised to victory. Paffhausen netted 11 points, Mandic scored four, and Piazzola and Tayler Templin netted two. Shawnee Hjelt scored one.

Butte Central 29, Stevensville 19
Templin scored 10 points and Paffhausen tossed in eight in the victory. Hjelt added six points, while Ashley Marthaller and Courtney Thomas scored two and Pica tossed in one.

Butte Central 39, Anaconda 23
Paffhausen scored 12 points as the Maroons knocked off the Copperheads. Marthaller, Hjelt and Ryan Trudnowski each scored six, and Mandic netted five. Also, Pica scored three and McCurdy and Rachel Bnks each scored two.

Butte Central 36, Belgrade 25
Trudnowski scored eight points to lead the Maroons in the win. Pica scored seven, while Paffhausen scored six, Mani tossed in four, McCrudy and Templin netted four, and Hjelt and Banks each scored one.

Butte Central 46, Dillon 28
Three Maroons scored in double figures in the win. Paffhausen led the way with 11, while Piazzola and Hjelt each scored 10. Also, Mandic tallied four and Marthaller scored three.

Butte Central 44, Livingston 27
Paffhausen poured in 13 points to lead the Maroons in the victory. Marthaller scored nine points and Pica scored seven. Also, McCurdy, Piazzola and Mandic each scored four, Thomas netted two and Banks tossed on one.
