The Butte Central golf team took a ride up to East Helena’s Bill Roberts Golf Course today for a quick one day tournament. Will McGree led the Maroons with an 88, clinching 12th overall. He was followed by Sam Henderson with a 92 for 16th place. The rest of the Butte Central team scored only 3 points apart: Randy Larson had 102, Kelton Berger shot a 103, and Trapper Stajcar finished with a 104. Overall, Butte Central took 5th with a Team score of 385.

In the boys’ category, Brady Powell of Corvallis took first place with a 73, closely followed by teammate Tate Jessop, who finished just 3 strokes behind. It was enough for Corvallis to take the tournament team blue ribbon with a 323 combined score. Corvallis was followed by Dillon with a 328 and Frenchtown, who combined for a 350.

On the girls’ side, Katie Lewis and Bridget Anderson of Frenchtown took the top 2 positions. Lewis finished with 73 and Anderson ended with an 82. Frenchtown took the win over Dillon, 353 to 389.
