GREAT FALLS — Led by two-goal performances by Connor Dixon and David Murphy, Great Falls High topped Butte High 4-1 in an Eastern AA boys’ soccer match Thursday.
Murphy, Dixon and John Leonard also assisted on goals for the Bison.
Matt Loeffler scored for Butte High. Cullen Sehulster got the assist.
Butte High coach Eric Zahler said the Bulldogs are taking steps in the right direction, despite the loss.
“I believe we now have the kids in the right position,” Zahler said. “It’s time to clean it up and play with some emotion because it is an emotional game.”
The Bulldogs (1-5-1) play host to Great Falls Russell at 1 p.m. Saturday.
