BOZEMAN — A large group of Butte athletes competed in the 2014 Bozeman Track Club All-Comers meet Sunday.
With the outdoor track season a few weeks away, Butte competitors saw times and marks that are nearing mid-season form. Complete results
On the girls’ side, Rachael McGree of Butte posted a pair of first-place finishes. McGree won the high school 55-meter hurdles in 8.9 seconds. She also won the long jump with a leap of 16 feet, 8 1/2 inches.
Butte’s Erika McLeod and Mijah McLeod placed second and fourth in the high jump, while Bailey McCarthy took sixth.
Rachael McGree also took third in the triple jump, one spot above Mija McLeod.
Whitney McGree, who also competed in the shot put, won the high school 55-meter dash in 7.53 seconds. She also placed second in the 55 in 7.67 seconds. Fellow Butte runner Joby Rosenleaf won the 3,200-meter run in 14:05.97.
Rileigh McGree won the elementary school long jump in 11-07 1/2. She also fared well in the 200 and 55.
In the middle school long jump, Lindsay McGree topped the competition with a jump of 12-2. She, too, posted strong finishes in the 200 and 55. Sydney Pendergast placed 13th in the high school 200.
On the boys’ side, Butte’s Coyt Stajcar had a big day. He won the elementary high jump, clearing 3-5. He also placed third in the long jump.
Butte middle schooler Zayne Miller placed second the long jump (13-11 3/4), third in the 55 and fourth in the high jump.
Butte High junior Dalton Daum placed second in the 55 (6.8 seconds) and the 200 (22.27), while Ryan Tomich, a Butte elementary school athlete, took sixth in the 400 and seventh in the 200.
Shannon Tempel of Butte placed seventh in the high school 400-meter run.
