HELENA — Four members of the Butte Track Club won at least one gold medal at the USATF Montana Association Junior Olympic Championships.
The two-day meet wrapped up Saturday at Vigilante Stadium. (Complete results; Butte Track Club results)
Tenley Osborne, Peyton Poole, Ella Moodry and Ryker Beardslee all won events in the meet.
Osborne won two events in the girls’ 9-10 age group. She won the 200 meters with a time of 33.94 seconds. She also topped the field in the long jump, clearing 3.27 meters.
Poole won the discus in the girls’ 11-12 age group. She posted a winning mark of 12.61 meters. Poole also took second in the javelin.
In the 17-18 female division, Moodry won the long jump, clearing 4.92 meters. She also placed third in the javelin and fourth in the 100 meters.
Beardslee competed in the boys’ 8-and-under division. He won the 800 meters with a time of 3:31.43. He took second in the 200 and the javelin.
A handful of Butte athletes finished in the top three in their age groups in the meet. Kesten Osborn placed in the top three in three events in the girls’ 8-and-under group. She took second in the 100 and third in the 200 and long jump.
Hudson McGree placed second in the shop put and third in the javelin in the girls’ 9-10 group. Nikita Andreoli took second in the 400 and third in the 100 in the girls’ 11-12 class. In the same group, Karla Reich placed second in the high jump and third in the 200, and Addessa Finlayson finished second in the 80-meter hurdles and long jump.
Evelyn Smith placed second in the 800 and third in the shot put in the girls’ 13-14 division.
Kaybri Rowe (8-and-under girls) finished second in the shop put, Elise Walsh (9-10 girls) took second in the 100, Arika Dolence (15-16 girls) placed second in the shot put, and Kaylor Smigh (11-12 boys) took third in the shot put.
