Butte athletes advance at Punt, Pass & Kick competition

Seventy-six youngsters participated in the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick event for the Butte/Silver Bow area, conducted on Sunday at Bulldog Memorial Stadium.

The Kiwanis Club of Butte hosted the competition, with a big assist from student/athlete volunteers from the Montana Tech football program.  Competition was fiercest in the boys’ 8-9 age group with 24 youngsters aiming for first place.  Seven-year-old Talen Thatcher, 9-year-old Kamber Leary, 11-year-old Mya Stenson, and 12-year-olds Kooper Klobucar and Tatum McNamara are all former age group winners at the event.
