The 13- and 14-year-old boys from the Northwest and Mile High Little Leagues beat Burlington Central 4-2 Monday for the title. That came after the Butte boys beat Burlington Central 5-4 in extra innings Sunday.

Burlington would have had to beat Butte twice to win the double-elimination tournament. Butte Beat Burlington Central 8-7 in pool play. It also beat Lockwood 14-10 and 14-2.

The team is made up of Tyler Duffy, Derek Dunmire, Blake Armstrong, Mason Armstrong, Jim Blow, Cameron Tobiness, Gavin Trudgeon, John McCarthy, Jonas Sherman, Zack O’Connell, Quinn Cox, Garrett Sharp and Aiden Cuchine.

Samm Cox is the manager. He is assisted by Dave Dunmire, Chad O’Connell and Mike Duffy.

The team has started a crowd-funding page to help pay for the trip to the Regional tournament. The team will need to raise about $25,000 to pay for the trip.
