Butte High will apparently play Kalispell Glacier in the quarterfinals of the Class AA state football playoffs.
Game time is 7 p.m. next Friday night at Naranche Stadium.
Kalispell Glacier coach Grady Bennett told Fritz Neighbor of the Daily Interlake that his team will head to the Mining City following Friday’s 21-14 first-round win over Billings Senior at Legends Stadium. (Stats)
A bracket is posted at MHSA.org. The playoffs, however, will be reseeded after every round according to criteria set by the Class AA. That criteria has not been made public.
Gage Sliter passed for 236 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Wolfpack in the win. Jake Rendina ran for 95 yards and a score.
Butte High beat Glacier 20-17 Oct. 8 in Butte. The Bulldogs are 4-7 against Glacier in the all-time series, which dates back to 2007. That includes a 1-1 record in the post season.
Glacier beat Butte High 62-55 in a playoff game in 2013. The Bulldogs returned the favor with a 51-14 win over the Wolfpack in a 2019 playoff game at Naranche.
