Bulldogs unveil schedules

Butte High unveiled its schedules for the fall sport season today.

For the first time, the list of schedules includes Butte High’s girls’ flag football team. Butte High will compete with Kalispell Glacier and Kalispell Flathead, playing two games each Saturday.

The first flag football games are set for Sept. 3 at Naranche Stadium.

Butte High’s boys’ football team will open the season on Thursday, Aug. 25 at home against Billings Senior. The opener is the Bulldogs’ lone Thursday game of the season. The rest are on Friday night.

After a trip to Great Falls High on Sept. 2, the Bulldogs will open Western AA play at Helena High on Sept. 9. Butte High will play host to Flathead and Big Sky Sept. 16 and 23. The Big Sky game will be Homecoming and Silver B’s Night.

The Bulldogs play at Helena Capital and Glacier on Sept. 30 and Oct. 7 before heading home for Senior Night Oct. 14 against Missoula Hellgate. Butte High will close the regular season at two-time defending state champion Missoula Sentinel on Oct. 21.

All games start at 7 p.m., with the exception of Homecoming/Silver B’s Night. That wills tart at 7:30.

Butte High’s golf team is the first to jump into action. The Bulldogs will play at the Great Falls Invitational Aug. 15-16. On Aug. 15, Butte High will also send junior varsity golfers to the Highland View Golf Course for the Butte Central Invitational.

The Bulldogs will host the Butte Invitational Sept. 7-8, and the Western AA Divisional meet is Sept. 22-23 in Kalispell. The Class AA State tournament is Sept. 29-30 at Green Meadow Country Club in Helena.

Butte High will open the volleyball season Aug. 27 at Billings Senior and Billings Skyview. The Bulldogs first home action is with the Great Falls and Missoula schools in a jamboree on Sept. 3.

The first conference action for the Bulldogs is Sept. 9 and 10 when Flathead and Glacier come to town.

The Western AA Divisional tournament will be held in Missoula Nov. 3-5, and the State tournament is the following week in Bozeman.

In soccer, the Bulldog boys and girls open the season Aug. 25 at Missoula Hellgate. Butte High’s first home game is Aug. 27 against Missoula Big Sky.

Butte High’s first cross country meet is Sept. 2 in Belgrade. The Bulldogs will host the Butte Invitational Friday, Sept. 30. The state mee is Oct. 22 in Missoula.
