Butte High girls’ soccer players will be at the Butte High-Billings West football game tonight at Naranche Stadium passing a bucket to raise money for Great Falls High All-State goalkeeper Taytum Widseth.
Widseth recently had her soccer career come to an end when a rare blood clotting condition known as May-Thurner Syndrome led to a collapsed vein in her left leg.
The Widseth family is now facing lots of hospital bills and travel expenses because Taytum has to travel to Denver for a complicated surgery.
In addition to the money raised tonight, the Butte High girls’ soccer team will donate $1,000 to the Widseth family for their expenses.
Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Naranche Stadium. For those who would like to give but cannot attend the game, contact Butte High coach Kevin Petritz at (406) 698-7311 or kpetritz22@gmail.com. Money can also be dropped off at Butte High School.
