“We had some great showings for the first meet,” Butte High coach Lynn Shrader said. “When you look at their times, they were close to the seeded times, which was their best time from the end of the season last year. So we are starting off in a great spot.”

Victories in the relay led the way for the Bulldogs.

Isabel Russo, Kallie Hossack,  Anna Trudnowski and Danika Murphy raced to victory in the 200 medley relay.

Trudnowski, Carley Trefts, Isabel Russo and Kallie Hossack won the 200 freestyle relay race.

Trudnowski, who was the lone swimmer in the 100 butterfly, also won the 100 backstroke. Russo took third in that event.

On the boys’ side, Colby Regan won the 200 IM as the only competitor, and Thad Holdsworth swam to second place in the 100 backstroke. Max Holdsworth took second in the 100 freestyle.
