Bulldogs swim to second at Butte High Invitational

The Butte High swimming teams placed second in combined standings Saturday at the Butte High Invitational at the Butte Family YMCA.

The Butte High boys took second, while the Bulldog girls took third. Missoula Hellgate swept the team titles for the combined championship.

Russo also swam a leg of a pair of relay teams that placed in the top three. Elsie Dickerson, Cynthia Trudgeon, Nicole Hyatt and Russo placed second in the 400 freestyle relay.

Sidney Christie, Dickerson, Russo and Hyatt took third in the 200 medley relay.

Hyatt also placed fifth in the 200 free and seventh in the 100 free for the Bulldogs. Dickerson pasted a fifth place in the 500 free and an eighth in the 50 free.
