Bulldogs stay at No. 5

Butte High’s football team didn’t move in The Associated Press Power Poll, which was released Wednesday afternoon.

The Bulldogs remained at No. 5 in the Class AA after Friday’s 62-57 win at Billings Senior. Helena Capital, which received eight of the 12 first-place votes, is the No. 1 team in the Class AA.

Previous No. 1 Bozeman fell to No. 4. Great Falls Russell, which Butte High beat in the season opener, received two first-place votes and is ranked No. 2. Helena High is No. 3 after receiving one first-place vote.

All top-five teams have 4-1 records. Butte High plays Bozeman Friday night at Naranche Stadium.
