Butte High’s boys’ wrestling team is still ranked No. 5 in the Class AA in the latest power poll, which was released today.
Nine Bulldogs are ranked individually, with junior Trey Whitlock still sitting in the top spot at 103 pounds.
Billings Senior is the top-ranked team. Kalispell Flathead is No. 2, followed by Great Falls High and Billings West. Helena Capital is No. 6.
Freshman Maverick McEwen (at 113 pounds) and sophomore Zach Tierney (285) are ranked No. 3, while senior Keagan Gransbery (126) and sophomore Kip Pumnea (132) are ranked No. 4. Bulldogs junior Kyler Raiha (120) and sophomore Mason Christian (182) are ranked No. 5, and junior Connor Konda (138) and senior Anthony Liva (152) are ranked No. 6.
Whitlock, McEwen, Raiha and Tierney are 5-0 on the season.
The rankings are compiled by former high school coach and principal Ken Stuker, who ranks Butte High’s battle at Missoula Sentinel on Friday as one of the featured duals of the week. Featured matches of the week include Gransbery against Sentinel’s Bryson Danzinger and Pumnea against Israel Moreno of Missoula Big Sky/Loyola.
