Bulldogs move up to No. 2 in poll

It might be because of a voting goof to do it, but Butte High moved up one spot in the final Associated Press Power Poll of the season.

Helena High is ranked No. 1, with 59 points. Butte High received 48 points. Great Falls Russell and Kalispell Glacier are tied for third. Billings Skyview, Butte High’s opponent in Friday night’s playoff game, is fifth.

The top four teams finished the season at 8-2.

Kalispell Flathead, which went 1-9, received a vote and eight points in the poll. That was clearly a mistake.

Assuming the voter meant to vote for Glacier, the Wolfpack would have passed the Bulldogs for No. 2.The poll, however, will stand.

Glacier is the No. 1 seed in the playoffs thanks to the tiebreaker. Butte High is No. 2.
