Bulldogs get wake up call but still control their own destiny

Game updates via NFHS networks and Butte High Football Facebook Page.

The Butte High Bulldogs traveled to Helena to play the Bengals. Butte started the scoring early as Demarais found Battermann on a 13-yard strike for the Dogs to take an early 7-0 lead, but that would be the last time they saw the end zone.

Helena came right back down and scored but missed the PAT 7-6 Butte with just over 5 to play.

Demarais would then find his other target Hudson Luedtke on a 65-yard connection, but the Bulldogs ended up punting it away after the big arial attack.

Helena would score on a 1-yard rush just before the half and go up 13-7. The Bengals would then score to open the half and go for two but not succeed and led 19-7.

The Bengals then blocked a Bulldog punt that would lead to a Bengals touchdown pass and blossom their lead to 26-7 in the 3rd.

Butte couldn’t get anything going offensively and the The Bengals give the Dogs a little taste of their own medicine and win it in a blowout 33-7.

Butte can still earn the Wests number 1 seed with a win next Thursday as they host the defending state champs the Helena Capital Bruins on senior night At Naranche.
