Bulldogs fall shy to Great Falls High

The Butte High Bulldogs returned to action against the Bison yesterday and played a pretty well rounded game as they looked to bounce back from the Big Sky game.

In what was a tight game most of the way the Bulldogs fell short. It was knotted up at 3 after 4 innings of play, then the Bulldogs had an inning where they scored 4 runs to take a 7 -3 lead with them to the 7th inning.

Great Falls caught fire in their half of the inning as they saw 9 runs cross the plate to take a 12-7 lead and the eventual win after the Bulldogs failed to score after their 4 run 5th inning.

Kamber Leary led the way for the Bulldogs at the dish going 3-4, Gracier Ferriter went 2-4 with an RBI, Madisyn Swanson also went 2-4 at the plate with an RBI and 1 run scored. Ashby Lee went 1-3, Gracie Jonart went 1-3, she also had an RBI and 1 run scored, Taylor Drakos was 1-4 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored, Ashlinn Mullaney was 1-4 with an RBI and run scored, Dacelyn Lafond was 1-3 at the plate with an RBI and 2 runs scored.

Butte High falls to 1-9 on the year and will welcome Helena High to town next Tuesday at 3pm.
